After Porsche were the first LMP1 team to reveal images of their new prototype ahead of the 2015 season, Toyota have also been testing in the south of France. The Japanese team spent three days testing a modified version of the 2014 model of the TS040 at Le Castellet. Over the course of the test, world champions Anthony Davidson and Sebastian Buemi shared the car with Super Formula champion, Kazuki Nakajima.

Toyota-Le-MansOfficial images of the new TS040 have not yet been released by Toyota. However according to the team’s statements the new car is not fundamentally different from the 2014 car. At the end of this month Toyota will continue their testing program in Spain. on the 30th of January, Toyota would like to be the first team to present their car to the public, with high probability that the team will also present their driver line up for the new season.

While Porsche has begun testing their new 919, Toyota with their new TS040 and Audi rolling out before the end of the month, Nissan remains the only team we are yet to hear from. However with the Super Bowl closing in, information on their project will be made public very soon.
