The FIA WEC has published a teaser for a new behind-the-scenes documentary on its YouTube channel entitled WEC Full Access.

The WEC Full Access clip shows a number of scenes from deep within the paddock and pit lane. The first appears to show Juan-Pablo Montoya engaged in heated discussion with a Hypercar team on how to negotiate traffic during a drivers’ meeting.

Other scenes featured in the one-minute clip include a JOTA team meeting and LMP2 driver Anthony Davidson showing his frustration at an apparent retirement.

Arguably the most exciting content featured in the trailer looks to be a scene from just before the podium celebrations following the controversial end to the 2021 GTE Pro title battle. Porsche driver Neel Jani is scene remonstrating with Ferrari drivers James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi, after contact in the closing stages of the race handed the title to the Italian manufacturer.

There’s no doubt that fly-on-the-wall sport documentaries have enjoyed enormous popularity in recent years. Drive to Survive, MotoGP Unlimited and the All or Nothing series, which covers a variety of sports, have been huge hits on YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

The first episode from the series will be available on the WEC YouTube channel from Friday 8 April.
