The 2014 FIA WEC has only just finished but Porsche have already turned their attention to the 2015 season. The German team which celebrated their comeback this year, have already began testing their new 2015 LMP1 car.
On Monday, the new version of the LMP1 Porsche had its first test on their test track in Weissach with works driver Marc Lieb behind the wheel. In an interview with Alexander Porsche Hizsinger (Porsche Technical Director LMP1), he said “The roll-out of a new racing car is always a milestone, we all can hardly wait. We had planned to run the Porsche 919 Hybrid for the 2015 season before Christmas, and this first objective has been achieved. ”
The first test with direct comparisons between the 2014 and 2015 cars will take place from the 18th-22nd of January in Abu Dhabi
