ESM (Extreme Speed Motorsports) have competed in 2 WEC races this year, at their home round in the USA and the Chinese round in Shanghai. The team from Florida enjoyed podium finishes in both of those races and will try to go one better and be taking race wins next season. ESM is planing to compete with a 2 car effort running two HPD (Honda Performance Development) ARX-04b Coupe’s with continued sponsorship from current sponsor, Tequila Patron.

The 6 Hours of Shanghai was ESM’s first race outside of the United States and the start of a new era for the team. Ahead of their first full international campaign, team owner, Scott Sharp has described the prospect of racing in the WEC in 2015 as a “Huge Opportunity” to help Tequila Patron’s global brand awareness.

With the news that ESM will be joining the grid for next season it is further confirmation the LMP2 grid continues to grow. With an anouncements being awaited about the new Project Brabham effort and with the new car being built over at SMP Racing, LMP2 is set to be as exciting as ever in 2015.
