Toyota will start tomorrow’s 6 Hours of Silverstone from pole position ahead of Porsche. G-Drive will lead away the LMP1 field.

Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway set the fastest combined time of LMP qualifying to put themselfs at the front of tomorrow’s grid, with a fastest indivudal lap time of 1:36.793. Anthony Davidson and Kazuki Nakajima were just 0.289 of a second behind, which was enough for a Toyota front row lock out. Porsche’s Nick Tandy and Neel Jani were 1.2 seconds off of the nearest Toyota with the #1 919 Hybrid, which was in turn half a second quicker than the #2 Porsche driven by Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley.

G-Drive Racing will lead away LMP2. Their avarage lap time was half a tenth quicker than Alpine could manage in the #36 Oreca. Jackie Chan DC Racing’s #38 Oreca was third fastest with Bruno Senna and Julien Canal set for fourth on the LMP2 grid. James Rossiter and Oli Webb were 9th overall for the ByKolles racing team.
